After seeing how excited Eli got dropping Tristan off at school, and a little bit of discussion, we decided it would be a good idea to enroll Eli once a week.
So I headed out with both boys that Wednesday morning, planning on dropping Tristan off first, and expecting a few tears from my sweet little Eli as his beloved mommy walked out the door…. Let’s just say it didn’t go quite that way!
We went into Eli’s room first to talk to the teacher- and Eli immediately forgot I even existed!
I think he thought he had died and gone to toy heaven!
Tristan and I even gave him kisses, and he watched as we walked out the door- and just kept on playing!
They said he fussed just for a minute later that morning- which quickly subsided as he took his nap.
The rest of the day- he was nothing but smiles!
When I arrived to pick him up- he just started talking to me and telling me all about the wonderful day he had in toy heaven!
This mommy sure enjoyed 5 hours of kidless-bliss! I got more accomplished in those few hours then I feel I have in months! I think the break was long over-due. I got a text from one of my friends the following day asking me if I was pregnant. She said I was just glowing when I picked the kids up- amazing what a few hours to yourself can do for a woman!!
